I like the unit. It is quiet and cools quite well but the control panel already went out after only one summer of light use. Since it is after the one-year warranty I have called and Live Chatted with LG and received number after number for repair companies and none do window units. I am completely disillusioned with LG and their customer and product support. The attached picture shows what the AC temperature should be. It is 66 degrees not 19.

The box did not include the screws or brackets needed to install the unit. A call to LG reported that those parts would be sent within 7-10 days which was not acceptable. We returned the unit and when the missing parts were received we also took them back to the store to complete the package.

I bought this in May of this yr and couldnt be happier with this product..it is extremely quiet and efficient We bought it to cool our family room which is about 20x12 but happily discovered that it cooled the other 2 rooms on this level as well because of a door and window cutout in the family room. Even with the intense heat weve had this summer we set the AC most of the time around 74 to 76 and were very comfortable Love it so much I convinced my sister to buy one for her cottage at the Cape.

All units are very quiet and cool medium to large bedrooms two 8K BTU one 10K BTU. Love the remote ability to control from phone app and set program times Bought a Midea U-Shape design A/C. Design is great but quality is not. I had to return after install because it would trip circuit. Bought the 2nd LG 8K BTU same circuit no issues with tripping circuit. This should tell you which one is more energy efficient. My 2 large old 240V LG A/Cs are still going strong after 15 years will replace with LG again soon.

The Clean Filter light wont turn off

I bought this window unit in mid-August in the middle off the hottest summer south Louisiana has ever experienced My 5 ton central unit thermostat set on 78 was running almost non-stop trying to keep the house cool After this unit was installed in the den 400 sf the central unit began cutting on and off and cooling the house to the selected temperature setting. This change in its operation was reflected in a decreased electric bill within a month of installation off the window unit It is also super quiet. Does not interfere with the TV sound and would be an ideal unit for a bedroom because of the quietness of the unit. The comfort factor cannot be measured in $$ savings but it is totally worth the initial cost IMO

I bought this through Amazon cyber services they are terrible. Received unit in terrible shape the unit lasted 4 days before it threw ch41 code. I have the same lg 14000 and love it. Its why I bought the lg8000 . But I should have bought it through Lowes like I did for the bigger unit.

We purchased the 8000BTUs wish we could find a 6000 BTUs for our bedrooms. Electricity bill even dropped a few dollars as we replaced a 10yr. old AC unit with the more efficient LG.

This is my 2nd ThinQ AC and is quieter than my 9500 model that is right next to my TV and does not interfere with it. Im a former audio engineer and my dBSPL meter shows lower levels than what LG has stated in its specs.

Purchased this late June 2023. Easy to install but purchased at a separate store a brace so it would not be too much weight on the window frame. Been using it quite consistently because its been pretty warm Long Island NY and its very quiet. Not sure yet about the electric usage because I havent seen an electric bill yet but Im sure it will be cheaper than the unit we had previously. The control panel is very user friendly.

I bought this a month ago and regret the purchase. It is a very difficult and daunting prospect to install in a double hung vinyl window with vinyl siding on the exterior of house due to the units extensive depth and weight. Installation had to be aborted once it was determined it would damage the window frame etc. Extremely disappointed and discouraged due to limitations of this product installation into vinyl windows without doing damage to infrastructure of home.

We purchased three of these window units in anticipation of summer in NYC. The unit runs incredibly quiet. There is none of that typical shudder whenever the compressor kicks in. We use the energy saver mode and its perfect. It dehumidifies the room cools it off and does so -so quietly that we leave it on all night in the bedroom.

I bough two of these air conditioners about a month ago and couldnt be more pleased. I just had a baby and its perfect for his room - so quiet and seamless to install. I also put one in my toddlers bedroom and the sleep feature is great. I havent set up the app but that is my next thing to do so I can control my toddlers room temp without going into the room.

First thing I noticed is how quiet the unit is. Bought this model/ brand for the efficiency 15 SEER rating. Only time will tell through usage but unit kicks butt for throwing the cool Havent used any other setting outside of energy saver still great kicking cool.

I ordered this window A/C unit and it arrived in less than a week. Just in time for the summer heat. I had read very good reviews about it and am not disappointed. We have a master bedroom on the top floor of an old house which stays hotter than the rest of the house in the summer months. Just set the temp with the remote and leave it. It has a timer a sleep mode and is an energy saver with 4 cooling and fan speeds and a washable filter reminder. And it is very quiet great for a 400 sq. ft. bedroom. Whats not to like?

I purchased 2 air conditioners and returned both prior to purchasing this one. The first one cooled so what but the noise was intolerable at night. Vendor said it was my window? Second air conditioner barely cooled leaked water all over. Had this not happened I wouldnt have purchased the LG air conditioner. Funny that we didnt Purchase LG AC first?? Honestly this is one of the best ACs Ive purchased in the last ten years. Unit so quiet that at times I didnt realize it was on. Cools very well and quickly even during the recent extreme heat. I highly recommend. I will purchase a lager unit 12000 btu or greater next season for our main living area.Features are excellent dry mode and auto clean as well as temperature fan controls. Very good unit.

The LG inverter AC I bought is the best ac I have ever owned. Ultra quiet I can watch my movies right next to my AC and still hear the movie without raising the volume loud. I live in a 3 room apartment open concept in dining living room the 8k btu cools this entire space with the AC on energy saver medium fan speed. It cooled perfect on the 90 degrees heat wave too I live on the upper floor This AC is highly recommend by me as I have nerve damage in 1 ear so certain tones bother me especially AC noise. This LG inverter is so quiet I have to make sure it is still running. Not only that it has self cleaning interior and dry mode for dampness. I am a senior maintenance is important to me. I just love love this unit. Will buy this LG type ac again and again in the future. Thank you LG

The LG 8000 BTU air conditioner works really well keeping my bedroom cool through 90+ degrees heat. It is also very quiet. Sometimes I may hear very slight noise coming from it but it is not bothersome at all and is considered normal operation.

I was looking for a new AC. After my old AC died after sixteen years. This LG AC has been wonderful. Its very quiet the most youll hear is the humming of the fan but its a nice hum. The unit isnt crazy wide but it is very long and heavy. My room is like a ice box when its on and thats the way I like it. It also holds up well on Humid days.

I bought this last week. In addition to this model I also have the 12000 btu unit which is whisper quiet. But this one makes a constant mid-pitch noise when the AC is running. It is not the fan making the noise because when running in fan only it is quiet. I have no idea why this is happening but it is annoying because I put this unit in my bedroom. It does cool well however.
