More trouble than its worth

I bought this last year. And it is deteriorating rapidly. It goes through periods where it will not cool according to LG support the only remedy is to unplug the unit sometimes for hours and then run it again sometimes for hours at max cool and max fan to get it working again. When it doesnt work it will emit a loud distressing buzzing noise. Since last year it has gotten noticeably worse requiring this hard restart at least once a day. I cannot use the cooling during the night as it will inevitably fail and wake me up with the buzzing sound. If you like the idea of constantly fiddling with your AC unit of never knowing how long your rooms will be cool or what horrible noises you will endure This is the unit for you. For all others I would avoid.

Rust Stain All Over House - ZERO SUPPORT

I will never again purchase an LG air conditioner after this experience. After only a singoe season of use the unit started leaking rusty water all over the side of our house. I confirmed the unit was operating as normal with LG support and that it was installed correctly. Not only would they not provide a replacement unit but now I have to spend hundreds of dollars to replace my rust-stained siding and LG refused to admit it was due to their unit malfunctioning. They claimed it was due to being in a high humidity location. I live in New Jersey. So I suppose if youre south of Maine you should not consider this as a suitable AC unit.

Wi-Fi broke within a month Warranty not honored

The Wi-Fi stopped working almost immediately. I put in a claim for support and it took almost a year to get a resolution because of how slow support was with their response. They then told me to purchase a new unit and I would receive a reimbursement for the cost of the original unit. Im coming up on two years since this issue happened and support has stopped answering me. Not satisfied with support and the replacement I purchased also has issues with weird noises.

Installed the window unit. Had a great month with it as it was very quiet and controlled room temp very well and connected to WiFi for remote set up. However the circuit wouldnt turn on after a month. After troubleshooting warranty covered it but no attempt for repairs were made.

Excellent unit for above average bedroom

This unit replaced a 15 year old 8000 BTU unit from a different manufacturer. This unit went into our oldest daughters bedroom. She is notorious for pushing the capacity of the unit because she wants her room to be an ice box. When this unit was purchased she was given strict instructions that the temperature setting should not be lowered below 70 degrees and it should only be run on Energy Saver or Dry mode. She insisted that her room would not be comfortable enough for her because she would lower her old unit to 66 degrees and her bedroom was still warm. Since the unit it WiFi compatible I made it clear that I would be able to monitor her use and make adjustments. She was pleasantly surprised of this units cooling power and she has not deviated from our agreed upon approach. This unit made her a believer.

Loud compressor

I bought this a month ago to replace my 10 year old Other brand window air conditioner. I purchased it based on the reviews of how quiet it was. It does cool well however to my surprise it is louder than my old one when the compressor kicks on. Maybe there is an issue with mine. It has a very loud gurgling sounds when the compressor kick on and off. My previous other brand model was very quiet.

Nice window air conditioner. Runs well and quietly

So far its working well. No issues. I like that when its humid out you can use Dry mode. The energy saving mode is nice also when its on for a long period.
